Coming here with no expectation was a great idea.
I had a great time coming to a restaurant that has sulongtang (as its one of my favorite soups/korean food).
The soup was clear which comes at a bit of a shock because never seen a clear sulongtang.
The kimchi and the kimchi radish was really good.
And they also provide a dipping sauce for the meat that you order with the soup. -

Pronounced "Young Doe-ng" so don't try to get funny with the name. Since I got that out of the way, let's talk about food. I've been coming to this restaurant for almost 20 years. I'm a big fan of Seolleongtang, and it is one of my favorite go-to Korean food.
I've tried many Seolleongtangs in Koreatown. While the original way to prepare this meal is to make the broth snowy white and milky, I prefer a cleaner taste. I especially enjoy ordering the No-Fat Seolleongtang - #2 on the menu (although it's more like reduced fat).
As previously stated, the reason I love this place is that the broth has a clean taste. And of course, an excellent seolleongtang restaurant should pair with good kimchi and radish. With an unlimited serving of fresh chopped green onions, I get very greedy with the amount on top. This bowl is very hearty, and I always come out feeling satisfied.
Tip: If you prefer you're broth with a little bit of kick, like Spicy Japanese ramen, per request, you can pour kimchi broth and "da dae ki" - a thick salted pepper paste. -

This place was good, tho I prefer soon tofu type restaurants over this type of Korean soup places. I got the beef cheeks, and you have to flavor/spice your own soup as it comes super bland. I put in a lot of salt and the liquid from my pickles. They have a small parking lot. They have a tiny bathroom. It looks very mom and pop on inside.

I come here everytime my parents are in town. I love that they have their own private parking lot and it never seems to be too busy so we get served right away.
The broth is great and I love that it also comes with noodles. Some spots do not. Their kimchi and radish kimchi are always on point and they also serve pickled jalapenos that I love!
I like that you can get broth and beef with no fat option. They also serve a large amount of beef with the soup.
My parents and I go to for sul-lung-tang! -

Another place that I feel I'll have to give a second chance to. Unfortunately, it was my first time there and while the service was good the food didn't impress me. Though, I admit perhaps I didn't know what to order.
The soup that I got seemed to have all the necessary ingredients to impress me, however for me it lacked taste. My friend also ordered a soup but his seemed good.
The service was good, very friendly server.
I'll have to come back and see if a second visit changes my mind.
